First Nations - Building Long Term Value With
                                 Strategic Acquisitions

From early partnerships and resource development agreements to the establishment of
significant off-reserve investments, First Nations have dramatically transformed the outlook
for their communities in the past forty years. Today more Nations are pursuing private
investments in wholly-owned companies, both on and off Reserves.
Transition Advisory Partners are experts on private company transaction and have acted for
both buyers and sellers. Ian Smith and Trevor Lutes will share their thoughts on a more
focused approach for First Nation acquirers that can improve the likelihood for long-term
                                 success for their members.

Ultimately, these successful acquisitions will lead to further economic self-sufficiency,
cultural revitalization and new funds to enhance social, economic and cultural
                                 development for First Nation communities.
